Everyone needs adequate nutrition, and so does your baby. The most natural food for babies is breast milk. Newborn baby and infant care requires special preparation and attention. One of the first challenges soon after birth, as mother and baby bond together, is the feeding process.

Hopefully the mother is properly prepared and ready for this wonderful experience. The recommended choice of nutrition for the baby is breast feeding, with formula (cow or soy based) as an alternative. Among the preparations that need to be made during pregnancy, and probably the most significant, is the decision whether to breast feed or not. Breast milk is the natural baby food, and if there are no other factors preventing that, we encourage all mothers to breast feed.

What If I do not Breast Feed?

If for any reason you are not able to breast feed your baby, your next alternative will be to resort to bottle feeding by using infant formula.
