Requests for refills of some long-term
prescriptions, such as those for allergies, Asthma,
GERD or GI reflux, and ADHD, can be made by fax, online,
or by phone. Please remember that any child on daily
or long-term medication needs a physical at least
once a year, sometimes more frequently more that. If you feel your child’s chronic
medication dosage needs to be adjusted, please make
an appointment to discuss your concerns with Dr. Tega who will be willing to evaluate your child and discuss your needs with you.
Due to DEA regulations, prescriptions
and refills for certain regulated medications, such as Adderall, Concerta,
Dexedrine, Metadate, Focalin, and Ritalin can ONLY be picked
up in person at our office.
We check our phone, fax and online refill requests regularly, Monday through Friday, during
regular business hours. Prescriptions should be ready
either at the pharmacy or at our office within 48
hours (two working days). Messages received late Friday
and on weekends or holidays will be handled on Monday,
or the next business day. In such cases prescriptions should be
ready either at the pharmacy or at our office within
48 hours (two working days). We do not routinely call
to notify you that your prescription is ready. We encourage to check with your pharmacy to see if your medicine is ready.
If there is a problem or If it has been over 48 hours and the Rx is still
not ready, please have your pharmacy contact our
office.
Please monitor your child's medications regularly and contact us well in advance so that the appropriate refill can be made available on time and without interrupting your child's therapy. If you suddenly run out of mediation, for whatever reason, and need a refill urgently, please call our office, or have your pharmacy call our office, or fax a request to us and mark the it urgent.
The easiest
way to request a refill is to call the pharmacy that
last filled the prescription, and have them fax a refill request to our office. Our fax line is 770-251-5254.
You can call your pharmacy 24 hours later to see
if your medicine is ready to pick-up.
To request a refill
by phone, please call our office.
Please provide your name, your child’s full legal
name and date of birth, the name of the medication,
the strength or concentration of the medication,
